Joey Richter Instagram – 🧗🏻♂️WILD Australian Photos Incoming 🌄 On me & @slowpez8’s lil post-tour adventure in the #BlueMountains of NSW ⛰️, we were treated to the MOST special experience at @scenicworld_aus! During our time there we discovered firsthand that the Blue Mountains are maybe the most beautiful place in the world?? (Top notch rec from @a.j.holmes 🥇) #ScenicWorld_Aus is located in Katoomba, a mountain town that overlooks the 🤩BREATHTAKING🤩 Jamison Valley, which features the iconic #ThreeSisters 🏜️ (needless to say, it’s all fuckin stunning!). Scenic World offers 4 main attractions: Scenic Walkway 🦕 (endless rainforest paths feat. Dinosaurs — like in Slide 9), Scenic Railway 🚃 (steepest in the world!), Scenic Cableway 🚠 (ALSO steepest!), & Scenic Skyway 🚟, which sits 270 meters above the canopy below 😳
But then there #BeyondSkyway 😎 Something that I’d NEVER think I’d have the chance to do… but did!! Not only did we ride the skyway out into the center of the valley, but we got strapped in to climb ON TOP of the car 🫣 & privately enjoy the sunset w/ hot chocolate and champagne 🥂 I couldn’t fuckin’ believe it!
Now I’m prone to death-defying experiences only SLIGHTLY more than Lauren (exhibit A – her face in Slide 2)🪂 But our wonderful guide, Tony, could not make us feel safer while also encouraging us to lean out and soak in the landscape 🌅 PLUS he put up with our ONE MILLION questions about weather/how secure our rig was/the structural integrity of the cable car 🤔🤦🏻♂️
It was an unforgettable afternoon and I’m SO glad we worked up the courage to go for it! 🎢 Enormous thanks to Tony (pictures in Slide 10!), the whole Beyond Skyway team for being so nice to us (& also answering so many questions 🧐), & @bernsokol for being SO generous to set up this once-in-a-lifetime experience for us! 🥰
