Joseph Mazzello Instagram – It was the honor of my life to play Eugene Sledge, WW2 veteran, war hero, and author of the stark, piercing memoir of his time in the service, ‘With The Old Breed’ on which The Pacific is partially based. A few too many years have gone by for my liking since I filmed that wonderful miniseries, but you can find The Pacific now on Netflix where it is apparently having a resurgence with new audiences and getting the recognition it so rightly deserves.
