Joshua Henry Instagram – Some Melodie’s just hit different.. #newMusic is one of my favorite #Ragtime songs. It feels an innocence that is slipping away. More process: Coalhouse Walker Jr. is credited in the show as the creator of Ragtime music, so.. of course, I must know how to play it. I don’t even know if I’ll play during the show @nycitycenter but I’m going in.. all the way. If nothing else I’ll get a better understanding of the character, the music, the composer’s choices and the time period. We’re months away from October but I feel something really important happening as I prepare for this role.
