Everyone trying to make it in wrestling, aspires to be a star. Everyone’s story is different, but you typically don’t start at the top. These photos triggered a memory, message and a reminder to those working their way up. I had arena catering a long time ago in Boston with a few local independent wrestlers booked as “extras” who had high hopes and big dreams of moving up to the big leagues in wrestling. One of them reappeared shortly after, getting a spot in the show. It’s always cool to see someone working hard, get that opportunity. She was probably eager to show what she could do, but nervous about heading into the locker room as someone not under contract to the company. I asked @thefoxxyone if she would be able to walk her in and look out for her..and she did. The next time I saw her reappear was at a Mania weekend match I announced vs @charlottewwe and I knew she was ready to take on the world. She was..and did. @mercedesmone has done very well for herself and coming into @aew is the next chapter. One match in and she got the gold. I can’t wait to see where it goes from here, after seeing all of her previous success. Show me the Moné! To everyone else with big dreams, let this show you-it’s all truly possible. If you’re ever booked as an extra and it seems so close yet so far away, don’t give up. If you just can’t seem to get booked as an extra, figure out an alternate path. Follow your dreams, everything is possible and every success story is different.

One of the absolute, greatest times of my career began June 13th 2006 when I traveled to Trenton, NJ to become the (new) ECW ring announcer. Spending the summer touring with @thetommydreamer @therealrvd @therealsabuecw @ecwsandman @ecwdivafrancine @paulheyman @thebarbieblank @knoxy_78 Balls Joey @nunzio_guido @bigtoddharris @officialtaz13 etc was a time I will always cherish and NEVER forget, or stop reminiscing about!
