More than just a notebook, this product is a unique way to support our artist in residency program based in Dakar, Senegal with all proceeds going to benefit Black Rock Senegal to further support our mission to foster new artistic creation through collaborative exchange and to incite change in the global discourse about Africa.
The Conspicuous Fraud Series #1 (Eminence) Notebook draws inspiration from Kehinde Wiley’s painting of the same name, made by the artist while he was in residence at the Studio Museum in Harlem in 2001. This all-over printed notebook features one of Wiley’s early works from the series Conspicuous Fraud, a group of paintings which emphasize and explore the beauty of natural black hair.
