Alongside @uoftlaw’s International Human Rights Program, SOUL has filed a complaint with the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise against ReconAfrica – a Canadian-based oil and gas company threatening the Okavango watershed in Namibia. Their exploratory drilling has led to serious human rights abuses that have devastated local Indigenous Peoples, their land, the wildlife populations they depend on, and one of the most critical wildlands for the health of our planet.
