Nicholas Sparks Instagram – I’ve always held such respect for members of our armed forces. My cousin Todd Vance (an inspiration for #DearJohn) served in the Army and was involved in the early stages of the war in Afghanistan not long after 9/11. It is not only the bravery but the struggle of many veterans that also helped shape the character of “Tanner” in my upcoming novel, #CountingMiracles. I can only hope to honor the spirit of their stories.
