Prince Instagram – In honor of #Juneteenth in the United States, let’s remember and respect the freedom of African-Americans who were enslaved then labored without wages or freedom to build the USA to a place that people from all across the world seek to come and enjoy. Let’s also remember the important lessons Prince taught us about artistic freedom.
Enslavement on any level reduces humanity. Artists are humans with the gift of creativity. Prince’s fight for artists and human rights is as legendary as his music. He also led the ideas for delivering music online and via digital technology. #Emancipation. Upon departing from Warner Bros. and then retaining ownership of his masters, Prince not only advocated freedom for himself, he did so for others and for the music to be more freely shared as well.
