Gratuitous shot to show the grandkids 💪🏾😝 #thirstythursday #whenpromgetscancelled Soooo I was training for a certain role and the movie has been pushed to later in the year soooooo I’m selfishly posting it here because I want someone to see it before I return to the cookie jar 😂🤣🤷🏾♂️ Sometimes as an actor you get roles where you need to be in a certain shape. We are never truly in control of our appearances. Roles determine our hair length,style,colour,facial hair,weight,shape even the amount of tan our character would have for consistent moments,not to mention our headspace. I’ve been training for a certain role for weeks now,diet,nutrition,cardio and weights to peak next month for the start of shooting.🎥👌🏾 I was getting there with a few weeks to go but unfortunately it’s now been pushed to later in the year😫🤦🏾♂️ But y’all know me…Always looking for a #whittle positive,at least I’m closer to the shape for when filming starts later in the year and it also helps with another movie I’m shooting this summer soooooo at least that character will be easier to prep for too🙏🏾 For me as an actor,it’s the prep that you pay for,I act for free,that’s just fun and I love every minute,no matter how taxing and exhausting it can be. It’s the hard work in silence that people don’t see and just assume it comes easy. I train and sacrifice for weeks/months sometimes. It was Such an honor to once again grace the stunning coastline of #Monaco and Host alongside @lenamahfouf the incredible 62nd @festivaltvmonte_carlo . This is such a beautiful and fun event filled with glamour,talent and brought to you by the most wonderful people. Never would I have imagined as a little fella,that I’d be diving off stage, halting this prestigious event I was hosting in front of royalty, her serene highness Princess Charlene to clip a selfie with #JohnGoodman whilst I encouraged the glamorous audience into a wonderful rendition of happy birthday for him. Or race and banter on stage with the hilarious @joshduhamel and cast of #buddygames .So much fun and it was made possible by a village of wonderful people I call family ,behind the scenes making sure the show went off without a hitch. They said I’d never have big legs,I’d never walk again or play football after a horrific leg break. They said I was too small to play football and rugby. They said I couldn’t have my dream cars. #LandofBad #adr Annnnnd so it starts🎥✨ from the incredible writer @davidfrigerio , this directing superstar @superswift ,to our pre production crew, producers,casting, agents,locations, finance ,lawyers,transport and everyone needed before we as actors even step foot into the country never mind on the set,it takes a village. The actual shooting of the movie was a blast and I’m sure you watched along during filming to see me bond with an incredible Australian crew in the #goldcoast and my band of brothers and sister in @liamhemsworth @hemsworthluke @miloventigmilia @danmacpherson #chikaikogwe #robrabiah But it’s the post production where the magic happens when all the pieces come together and are trimmed and flipped ,things added and taken away where great editors and directors like @superswift can make and break films. As actors you are always at the mercy of whichever ‘take’ they use or where and how they cut so when you enter the adr to lay vocals and add lines etc it’s a mystery to even us. After getting my first look at some of the scenes we worked on … wow🤯🔥🙌🏾 I knew what was coming and still laughed,great humour, epic visuals and to hear the gravitas and power of @russellcrowe voice and performance, I couldn’t be more excited and proud for when this action movie hits the cinemas and we finally get to share our labor of love with you all. So much fun on and off camera
