And here is what took @madmaxgordon out of the final at the Red Bull Sand Scramble 🤦🏻♂️😳🙃 we learned a lot and the positive side is he walked away with no injuries and the roll cage was all in tact I will post a video if the car on the trailer in a few hours. And do a live walk around showing all the damage. @speedutv The cars we raced were production Bandits with the beds off and on E85 they haul in the sand. Weight is everything and our cars are heavier than a Polaris or Can Am but they are safe……
Race 1 at Red Bull Sand Scramble yesterday, the @speedutv is plenty fast in the dunes but @madmaxgordon did break a belt and that ended race 1. I have contacted Dave from Tapp Clutch and asked him to please come help us make the Belts and Tapp Clutch better. And Yes I do blame Max for this as the kid is a Mad Man behind the wheel. Now I just need to slow him down to make it to the finish line, I had the same problem too😜 you can see him wheelie at the top of the dunes as he never lifts 😳🤦🏻♂️

Race 2 at Sand Scramble. @madmaxgordon Started 2nd Row 18th and made it to 4th before he was off line and got in the soft sand and decide to cartwheel a Speed UTV. On my car #17 I stopped and checked on Max when he crashed so@I lost about 45 seconds there and after I did that I checked on another racer who crashed on lap 1 also so yes I was way behind but the car ran the whole race and it was fast. I think on lap 4 I had the second fastest lap so the Dune and Destroy video is not that accurate🤪
Today @3pm at Speed UTV Ca in Anaheim we will have the Celebration of life for on of my Besties Johnny Kaiser This is going to be one of the hardest days of my life. The memories we have with Johnny are and was amazing from the Friday night Parker Runs to Sports Valley before closing to the Indy 500 where we almost won it with our team, Daytona 500, Dakar Rally, Baja 1000 Victory those Crazy reliable SST trucks and even all the little trick Speed UTV items you gave ideas on will be remembered and missed for the rest of my life. I’m still in shock you’re gone and I hope you Big John, Parnelli, Scoop My Dad and many other legends are creating cool shit up there, I’m writing this with tears 😭 running down my face. See you on the other side JK and today let’s celebrate this amazing person and prey for his family and friends All we can say now is RIP and glad you were doing what you love when we lost you. Good morning I’m wanting to help design some electronic hand controllers for Tanner Ifrid and his Father David, is we’re in Anahiem facility this morning and I / we took some time to understand his needs for hand controls. My goal is electrical system the gas part is easy with fly by wire the now we need a powerful fast electronic actuator to push the brake pedal I’m thinking very similar to the old Honda odyssey for levers Please give us some ideas that David and Tanner can choose from. Dang in slow motion you can see it clips the LR tire on the top edge of the dune and if it would have cleared the tip it might have been the right line. Unfortunately in racing we all take chances and the dunes win 🤪 One thing that can talk about now is that the Speed on E85 is Fast 🤪oh and @madmax is not scared to hold it wide open Next race will be Long Bach GP @stadiumsupertrucks then the Norra 1000.
