When I was little, my mom knew I loved TV & award shows, so she bought an old red towel from a thrift store and laid it on our front porch as our fake ‘red carpet’. She’d take my picture with her disposable camera as I’d pose and pretend to be an award-winning star. Eventually, I got to work in TV. I even got to cover the Emmy red carpet for years.
