This is an unbelievably difficult post for me to make, and one that honestly I’ve been avoiding (I think a not-so-little part of me is in denial still). After a year-long fight with lung cancer we lost my dad in March, my family and I are missing him deeply and still very much processing this loss. My dad was such an incredibly charismatic, smart, hardworking and caring man and part of my putting off sharing this news is that it feels impossible to express what my dad means to me and what losing him has been like in a social media post. But with Father’s Day coming up I know that sharing this is an important part of not only my own grieving process, but of being able to fully celebrate his incredible life.
