Sanjith Hegde Instagram – My beautiful aayi passed away this morning,
She was kind and fearless, you wouldn’t think she was a badass if you met her but man you should listen to some of the stories about everything she did to make sure her children were okay; my grandpa was a yakshaagana Bhagvatha, he passed away when my father was 4 months old. Aayi was 22 when she became a single mother of 2 toddlers, with little to no support from family or society and not knowing how to read or write, she still managed to build a small beautiful life for appa and atthe, she taught them to surrender to god and to simply do their duties
With everything going on with ambition I couldn’t make time to meet her in the last few years, all I have are our screenshots of video calls, I really wish I’d gone home.
These last few weeks, I spent with her in the hospital trying to wake her up from her deep sleep, praying that she could hear me. I hope she did.
