Sarunas J. Jackson Instagram – I’m always hungry for progression. I’ve had an inconsistent journey with my body for years due to a back injury. As a former athlete, most my life my identity was tied with my physical body. When that has been taken from me at times, my mental health was too. Took me to a negative space to not be able sit in a car without feeling extreme pain. I’m so grateful to be in the space I’m in now. From squatting (kinda lol) 315 lbs, to boxing, hoopin, playing with my daughter and God kids.. So much to be thankful for. I had to take accountability (which is scary for most) and decide to take control of my mental health and physical health. If you are in a place you are not happy in, YOU have more power then you give yourself credit for. Your mind is your strongest tool and you can get on the path you want. Prioritizing my mental is what allowed me to get physically healthy and set my routines and diet. Outside opinions of others mean NOTHING. If people are lying and putting THEIR limitations on you, that is THEIR issue and not YOURS. You are what you attach to I am (Confucius).
