Tyler Grey Instagram – Came across this old photo of me trying to look hard most likely to try and impress a girl or girls. I believe this was Yakima in 2002 which was 2nd Ranger Batts train up to our first deployment to Afghanistan. I was a sniper team leader at this time which was a blast. I had a kid ask me last week about advice in joining and it’s a strange experience as i was once there so i get his enthusiasm but where I am now I see everything completely differently. Question for vets: how do you feel when young people ask your advice on joining the military? Am I the only one who feels conflicted? I want to help them but I also don’t want to act like it’s not going to have a cost and take a toll.
