Hello friends, I was looking through my favorite L.A. Action Scrapbooks, which I loved making over the years (and were featured in the VAL documentary too), and I thought some of these pages would make mighty fine images to share! So here we are.. the first selection is called “Women are going to be the new Elvises”. I’ve only printed 5 of them (Giclee cold-press prints on amazing paper). It’s been so deeply rewarding to see your response to the artwork I’ve been producing for the last few years. It really matters to me. A while ago in my studio I started writing down phrases that are unique, that are only heard on-set. I turned them into paintings, great big ones on metal. I used old junked car hoods, flattened them and then cut them up and just started painting. Like things do sometimes, it turned into a series. I picked out four of these paintings and had limited edition (only 10) Giclee prints made from each. The first one is THERE’S A BOOM IN THE SHOT. Quiet people please.. WE ARE TRYING TO REHEARSE Here’s the last image in our studio series. On a film set, there’s often only a few moments before the camera is rolling to rehearse. In that time the final touches are made by the crew hustling and bustling around and it can be a delicate balance trying to find harmony within the chaos.
