X Ambassadors Instagram – NEW YORK. BOSTON. And… ITHACA. Wow.
These last few shows have really brought the Townie tour home for us (literally and figuratively). NYC we got to play at one of the most historic venues in the city, right around the corner from where we first met Adam (shout out Loeb Hall dormitory) and where XA truly BEGAN; Boston you showed us for the umpteenth time how much XA love you have to give (spoiler: it’s a LOT); and finally…. Our hometown show in Ithaca. The town we wrote this entire album about.
We will NEVER ever ever forget this show at the State Theater. Playing these songs in front of a townie crowd… personally I can’t tell you the thrill I got hearing everyone cheer after every Ithaca lyrical reference— “New Year’s at the Chanticleer…”, “meet me at the Thurston Ave Bridge”, “We drive past McCormick Prison out on 79”, “lost his job last week bagging groceries at the P&C”. And there were so many of you there who knew Todd! Who loved him as much as we did. We all got a chance to ugly cry together and remember him together. I’m still a puddle. My body is a wreck. But my heart is so so so full. Thank you thank you thank you.
Two more weeks left of the Townie Tour. 🥹❤️
