Xavier Dolan Instagram – 10 years ago today, we were right here, walking the red carpet in Cannes to present 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐲. It changed my life forever.

A decade later, we’re releasing 𝘼 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙢, a collection of hundreds of unpublished photographs taken by my long-time friend and colleague Shayne Laverdière during the production of the film as well as its debut at the festival. This 480-pages book, which I began collating during the lonely, isolated hours of the pandemic, brought me right back to the distinct sense of collectiveness, endless laughs and buoyant, unforgettable emotions which defined this transformative experience.

10 ans aujourd’hui que ce film a changé ma vie pour toujours. Le 22 mai 2014, nous montions les marches pour présenter 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐲 ici, à Cannes.

Une décennie plus tard, nous sortons 𝙐𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚́ 𝙨𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙢, un livre recueillant des centaines de photos inédites réalisées, du tournage du film à notre passage à Cannes, par mon complice de toujours Shayne Laverdière. Cet ouvrage de 480 pages, que j’ai conçu durant les heures de solitude de la pandémie, m’a replongé dans la fraternité, les rires hilares et les émotions vives qui ont défini cette expérience pour moi inoubliable.
