Abbie Eaton Instagram – W Series goes into administration. Really sad to hear that @wseriesracing is going into administration today. It was divisive, ground breaking, and hugely loved and supported around the world. Whether you agreed with it or not, you cannot argue the fact that it has been extremely successful in attracting more females into the sport globally and it also got many drivers with NO budget back out in a race seat. There’s always a lot of talk of why there isn’t many females in motorsport, or how can we get more females into the sport and a female driver into F1 etc etc. Many opinions are given from high profile and sometimes wealthy individuals. W Series actually made it happen, which is more than has been done for females in Motorsport in the past. Attracting over 1 million UK viewers to the Silverstone event, the highest viewed motorsport event outside of F1 since 2014 speaks for itself 👏🏻 Thank you to everyone at W Series for the opportunity to all of us drivers, we’ll always remember it fondly. #WSeries
