He has been a champion of the Guggenheim’s Asian Art Initiative, the Robert H N Ho Family Foundation Chinese Art Initiative (its launch in 2014 pictured here), and the Global Arts programme which have all shaped the last 14 years of intellectual and curatorial vision for the future Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. We have travelled the world together, and his curiosity and gift of instant camaraderie have vitalized our bold projects and assured their success and support across the museum world. The Guggenheim has become a truly international place because of his inspired leadership, and he has lead with grace at every turn. We look forward to a smooth transition over the next spring.
