Alice Evans Instagram – I just got a call from the school nurse telling me that little one had fallen ill at school today. ( pic not from today, obvs, from last weeks fashion show as per the poster😊)
It’s one of the tougher things about being a single mother with no immediate family living nearby and no childcare. You want to drop everything. But it’s not always possible.
I know how many people understand this. And how many have jobs that don’t allow them the luxury that I have had today – to rush to the school, pick her up and tuck her up in bed for the day with hot chocolate ( first request) and ‘A Series Of Unfortunate Events’. ( her current obsession)
And there have been days for me where this wasn’t possible either. And it will be less possible as I start to go back to work. So I cherish this day, even though I hate to see her sick, and remember I am lucky to have it.
