Alicia Menendez Instagram – Four years ago, I interviewed @julissa_prado for @latinatolatina. That episode was a personal favorite (and more importantly a listener favorite!) in part because @rizoscurls, the company Julissa founded and continues to fully-own, was so ahead of the curve on prioritizing clean ingredients, and centering culture and community as a brand value. (Also because Julissa’s hella smart, impossibly cool and so grounded in the people and place she comes from.) As I’ve said before, capturing people’s dreams when they are still just dreams and then getting to see them come to fruition is among my favorite parts of what I do.
