Amrutha Srinivasan Instagram – This is my 600th post on my Instagram profile. I created a profile in 2016 after @lifeoftang.lot made me do it for Chennai Singaari. I would always thank people for following me when my numbers increased by 500 or 1000. It was a great deal.. it still is. :) ♥️ I haven’t understood/cracked the algorithm enough to have a socially acceptable number of followers. To he honest, I am constantly trying still, only so I could have more soul satisfying work that comes out of the currency of being “relevant”. In an ideal world I would rather have more good work in front of the camera and people that follow me here because of it. I didn’t even thank people for my 100K followers despite the immense gratitude I felt because of the very real fear of “what if they unfollow me just for fun?!” What I do know is that I am extremely grateful for you all – the people – the audiences who have been appreciative/ critical of my work, making me feel good and at same time think more about what I put into my next character. Here’s to a 2024 for me where I work with filmmakers who cast imaginatively; colleagues who collaborate with joy; writers that I WILL do justice to and most importantly, people that I “vibe” with hahah ♥️ I hope to continue finding meaningful work as an artist because I am and I will always be an artist at heart till the day I die. :) I wish you and your family a lot of happiness, peace and prosperity this year. 🧿 P.C.: @dignifiedrepose Song by my most favourite @sushasings ♥️
