Ana Gasteyer Instagram – Repost • @officialseptemberldavis Warmest congratulations and BRAVO to my dear friend and colleague @briandarcyjames on the LONG-awaited, thrilling opening of ‘Days of Wine and Roses’. @wineandrosesbway I am so proud to have taken a journey of my own with my talented friend 8 years ago. ‘Death Race:the musical’ – based on the powerful films about armed prisoners forced to drive in a televised race to the death featured a pop-rock-theater score and extraordinary stakes. – its messages were relevant eight years ago and frankly, still are today. I was thrilled to play the warden with a heart of gold, and what better scene partner than BDJ in the role Jason Stratham made popular in the film remake. DRTM did not receive the same critical attention as @wineandrosesbway but it certainly won the hearts of fans everywhere, and importantly broke Broadway box office records for the 37 straight weeks amidst the devastating on-stage accidents it’s sadly now best known for.
