**This is occurring because there is no distinction on streaming for a “major role performer.” That tier was not included in our contracts for streaming, reducing these performers to new minimums for the same job.
**And of course you COULD be paid more than the minimums BUT when they can pay minimums they usually do.
**Part of why we’re a union is to protect those individuals who need protecting. Those actors who can’t afford to say no to a job and therefore must accept a wage far below their value.
