Na początku marca tego roku rozpoczęliśmy naszą akcję Bye Bye HPV, w której nie tylko edukujemy o ludzkim wirusie brodawczaka, ale również promujemy do szczepień profilaktycznych dla dzieci, młodzieży oraz dorosłych. Dziś wszyscy pracownicy fundacji zaszczepili się na HPV. Chcemy dać przykład, że szczepić się można w każdym wieku bez względu na płeć. Czy wiecie, że: – HPV to wirus przenoszony najczęściej drogą płciową (można się nim zakazić także poprzez bezpośredni kontakt ze skórą osoby zakażonej), który jest odpowiedzialny za prawie wszystkie przypadki raka szyjki macicy. W ciągu życia zakazi się nim ponad 80% Polek i Polaków. – Zaszczepić może się każdy, kto ukończył 9 rok życia. – Szczepienia są przeznaczone zarówno dla kobiet, jak i dla mężczyzn. Ci drudzy także mogą zachorować, np. na raka odbytu, prącia czy gardła. – Prawie 4000 kobiet rocznie w Polsce, dowiaduje się, że ma raka szyjki macicy. Za 70% przypadków odpowiadają najbardziej onkogenne typy wirusa HPV. Dlatego niezwykle ważne jest, aby regularnie, najlepiej co 1-3 lata, wykonywać cytologię i test DNA HPV.
