Ashley Jordyn Instagram – It is with great sadness and relief that I share the loss of my little prince Guy, who has shared my life for over 20 years. He started failing in early December so I made him a deal- if he would make it through the holidays in ease, if we could share one more warm and festive holiday season snuggled under blankets watching old movies, then I would help him continue his journey and stop trying to hold him so tightly to me. And so we did…on January 1st his heart started failing and luckily the appointment was already made. Before it could become painful and scary and traumatic for us both he was peacefully reunited with Lucy, who we have both missed greatly since she left us, and who I know welcomed him gently on the other side. I love you Guy.. you were the sweetest simplest lover of a cat from day 1 when you crawled into my lap and started purring when I picked you up off the side of the road, eyes barely open, hungry and needing someone to take care of you. You were immediately adopted by Lucy, who thought you were her own baby, and took care of you her whole life. You never stopped purring. It was a constant sound in my home and the loss of which has made this space that is left too quiet, as if the orchestra has lost an instrument section. I mourn you and I also am relieved that we avoided any pain at the end. Your presence will be forever missed but I will carry your existence with me always. | Posted on 07/Jan/2024 05:48:23
