Bellamy Young Instagram – Thank you to everybody who made my mom’s 83rd birthday so special today. 🥰 Means everything that you would share your day with her. Bellamy Young Instagram – Just posting a little gratitude / accountability in case anyone else is on the same path right now…
When I saw a picture of me from my birthday this year (in February), I realized I was farther away from myself than I knew. 
My friend Fay had just read Chris Palmer’s book #BrainEnergy & was talking abt giving a modified ketogenic diet a try for a month. I said I’d try it with her. 
I started to have a little more energy… 
(Mind you, I’ve been vegan for forever, so all my protein sources have carbs in them: it was really just low carb for me.)
Then I decided in March to try to start getting those 150 “intensity minutes” per week that I hear people talk abt. 
I found out I liked it. 🤯
I’ve never been in any way athletic: no team sports, no solo sports, even when I was dancing, it was a bit of a slog. 
But now I’m celebrating a 382 day streak of making my step goal (at least 5 miles/10K steps a day) & nearing 9 months straight of making my intensity minutes every week. (hello, running 😲🥰🎉)
So. 
Who knows what’s to come, but I just wanted to claim this outloud, since I am in no way a self-starter. 😄 
I’m grateful that I’ve turned up so far.

I’m grateful to @hubermanlab who always edifies & inspires me (abt sports & nutrition, yes, but also SO many other fields) & to my little @garmin #Vivosmart which is humble, yet the exact right fitness partner for me. 🤓 (this is not at all an ad)
