Camille A. Brown Instagram – I was honored to receive The Transformative Award from @harlemstage on Monday night. A very special THANK YOU to Pat Cruz and Harlemstage for this recognition and @mslachanze for presenting me with the award!!! The organization has supported my work for 20 years! In 2004, I was 24, a dancer with @evidencedance , and about to present one of my earliest works for Harlemstage’s E-moves series called, Shelter of Presence. I dedicated the award to 5 women ,who throughout their time with Harlemstage, held space for me so that I was able to indeed transform- Pat Cruz, @simoneeccleston @divinegoodwine Felicia Swoope, and Charmaine Warren. Much love and gratitude to these women!
