Camryn Manheim Instagram – My dad was a mathematician. He delighted in numbers and logic and quantum mechanics. As a kid it was frustrating, but as an adult it was fascinating.
I remember when I was a teenager, I asked him if he believed in “Karma. “ And just like a professor, he said, “I’m not sure…can you explain Karma to me?“
I said, “Dad, you know what Karma is. it’s when you perform an act of kindness in the world and later on, when you least expect it, something good will happen back to you.”
And without skipping a beat my dad said, “oh, I definitely believe in Karma. I just don’t call it that.“
I said, “what DO you call it?”
And he said………. “Statistics!”
