I definitely prematurely stopped riding and started praising lol — he deserved all the love for how he showed up for this ride. AND he’s doin’ it 100% barefoot — no boots! I don’t know that I’ll always jump him without boots, that’ll depend on what his feet tell us. Right now they’re telling us they’re ready for it.
I took Rem barefoot almost 2 years ago now, it’s been quite the road gettin’ here, but I never gave up on it and look at him go. 💃🏼
Taking a horse barefoot is a daily practice and requires commitment and a lot of care. I’ve been very fortunate to have access to help from people who’ve been doin’ it a whole lot longer than me.
