rarely do bi racial, particularly black and white american experiences get reflected on tv. growing up i NEVER saw anything close to my life as a bi racial kid. regina’s story with her mother was a necessary one to portray on network tv. and i’m so grateful to you @heydjnash and our awesome writers for asking me, before we started the pilot who i wanted regina to be. african american with two african american parents or bi racial, like me. i assumed she’d be african american. but given that opportunity i knew we had to tell a biracial story. thank you ♥️♥️
