I lived with a Mongolian Eagle Hunter in an extremely desolate western province of Mongolia and had the privilege to document the ancient tradition that has barred young girls from being involved. Interestingly, the young girls are the ones who may play a role in keeping the practice alive.
Congratulations to all the other nominees, including many of my talented former colleagues at @foxla and @ktla5news. Solid journalism and storytelling that humanizes us has never been more important.
