Cory Lee Instagram – Are you ready for your pregnancy glow-up? I tried this new “Prenatal Thrive and Glow” treatment by Stefanie Makagon, R.Ac (Registered Acupuncturist) at SONI Wellness, for some self-care recently and OMG it was fabulous.
We started with body acupuncture to help support me and my baby (can help with swollen feet, circulation issues, pain, acid reflux, etc.) She also used an infrared heat lamp (that’s why the one video clip of the acupuncture has a red tint) – it’s like a sauna for your feet!
She told me it’s important for women in Chinese Medicine, especially pregnant women, to keep their feet warm because the kidney meridian starts there and kidneys are the most important organ to help with a healthy and strong pregnancy – I love Chinese Medicine!
We then moved on with the luxe part of the treatment, which included a gentle cleanse, and my fave, facial gua sha and face massage! Stefanie’s hands are like magic! 💫 It was so relaxing. The facial gua sha helps with puffiness in the face, toning, and sculpting the facial muscles.
After I felt so relaxed, had more energy, and was glowing!!! Thanks ladies, what a beautiful day!
Ps – This is a pregnancy-safe treatment and is the perfect treat for any mama-to-be. It is so important to take care of yourself in the last trimester.
