This is an astonishing achievement!!
Here celebrating on Tuesday with fellow author @chrissmithstagram and so many of the #LibrariesforPrimaries Team who are putting so much hard work into this amazingly ambitious initiative. The need is great, because 1 in 7 schools have no library…
…and the aim is for every single primary school in this country to have a library. So this is urgent, important work, that needs to reach a whole generation of children very quickly.
It was such a lovely atmosphere, because everyone involved is so passionate about this, and determined to make it work.
In the second picture, I’m with Fiona Evans, who has now left the Literacy Trust, but has done so much for this wonderful campaign…
