Dominique Domingo Instagram – Flash back Friday to last Christmas performing on The Wonderful World of Disney’s Magical Holiday Celebration with @juleshough & @derekhough. This gig stands out as one to remember for a lot of reasons. There’s the obvious like performing at Disney World and feeling the incredible energy from a live televised performance. Dancing alongside some of the most incredible dancers in the industry and working with one of the most brilliant creative teams there are. But it mostly stands out because of where I was in my life at the time. I was going through a major life transition and working deeply through a lot of pain internally. The timing and nature of this gig was the perfect environment for me to work with what was coming to the surface to be felt. It was very challenging for me but incredibly healing in the end. As much as this was a dance gig, the rehearsal process acted as a spiritual and mental bootcamp for me right when I needed it. It gave me the opportunity to allow space for my humanity while simultaneously reclaiming part of my power I was not owning. When @tessandrachavez brought me onto this project she said “I thought it would be good for your soul!” She was right.✨The rehearsals are what I hold close to my heart vs. just the end result of the show day performance. So this highlights more of that 🤍
