I’ve been guilty of an 8 x week “detox” so I can look “skinny” in my annual Instagram holiday bikini pic
I would cut my calories down to 1200 per day, do a ludicrous amount of cardio and force myself to get back into last years summer clothes
All for what?
All so I could get a good picture on my holidays
Only to spend the rest of the holiday eating everything in sight and drinking copious amount of sangria to drown how painful the last 8 week had been 🍷
I adore having an end in sight 🚀
I adore having targets and goals to hit 🎯
I don’t adore you starving yourself
I certainly don’t adore you trying to be “skinny” for the sake of everyone else
There is nothing wrong with an 8 x week challenge, in fact we’re running one right now in my fitness app
But if you’re embarking on your “hot girl summer” challenge this year – turn down the volume on the pressure
I’m here for consistent girl summer this year
💫 a realistic amount of workouts per week
💫 a small calorie deficits which allows you to stick to it and has longevity to it
💫 a realistic step target to hit daily
💫 daily journaling and affirmations
💫 personal development (training your brain as much as you do your body)
💫 a coach that understands your goals and helps you to achieve them without crazy pressure
💫 focus in on what you want to achieve, set your big goal then work backwards and make your plan to get there along with your daily non negotiables you need to achieve
