Emily Cox Instagram – As we talk to Emily on the phone, she is walking through sunny Vienna. Occasionally, you can hear a gentle breeze and street noises through the phone. The British-Irish- Austrian actress was on stage at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo two months ago, on April 7, 2024, and in Versailles last week on June 8th, for “Their Master’s Voice,” a staged concert, which is a blend of theater and opera. Alongside John Malkovich, Cecilia Bartoli, and Philipp Mathmann, Cox told the story of an aging opera singer. Photographer Eileen Jordan documented Cox’s preparations for the premiere and photographed the actress against the old-money backdrop of Monte Carlo. In an interview with Achtung, Emily Cox discussed the process behind “Their Master’s Voice,” her relationship with costumes and fashion, and Viennese style.
