StarsToDocs.org will host its first in-person event for STEM-motivated students and their parents/guardians at Friends Select School in Philadelphia on Saturday June 8th. They capped registration at sixty (60) STARS (Students Taking A Resolute Stand…for their FUTURES). Registration is at www.StarsToDocs.org and is only open to adults, each of whom can bring one STAR who is entering 7th, 8th, 9th, or 10th grade.
The cost is ten dollars ($10) for each student plus parent/guardian pair.
Working with them to inspire and inform the STARS will be eight under thirty year-old Philly-based Black doctors, medical students and premed college students.
They asked me to help share because they haven’t been able to get as many folks signed up due to their lack of social media (I’m gonna work with them on that) but for NOW, since the event is this Saturday, please share far and wide! | Posted on 05/Jun/2024 21:26:09
