Feminista Jones Instagram – I thought this video was lost forever. Then I got an email to reactivate an old photo account I had. I had to pay $5 but I was compelled to do it. So many old photos and videos I had stored there but this one…THIS ONE… I’ve been looking for it for over a decade.
It remains the only video I have of my son and my mother together. It was about 5 or so weeks before she transitioned. She was in hospice care and she looked forward to our visits (it’s why I volunteer at hospice care now). I cried and cried when I found this video. I needed that release. Last week was rough. But this was a sign. My mama always had words of wisdom when it came to what I’ve been dealing with. This was a sign to move forward with love and grace for myself.
