You were the villain, but in the juiciest way. Mostly, you were loving and empathic when I had to express anger by slapping the crap out of you. I wanted to cry, but my job was to slap. And you let me go there. You were The Commodore for me. It was a dysfunctional family but a family nonetheless. I will always treasure the moments we had. You were the truest of gentlemen.
