Hania Rani Instagram – I simply don’t know where to start. It has been a while since I shared the last update of my playlist Life is a film but for all of you who follow it patiently it is certain that this space is an utter insomniac, restless realm which absorbs and collects all possible futures. All the time!
In the world where in order to survive we need to acknowledge our feelings and learn how to let them in and out, this place is for me a rare opportunity to bury all my convictions and everything that feels reasonable and right. It is a sense of urgency, simple impuls, reaction rather than response. Misconception, contradiction, wilderness. A temple of “unholy” clutter.
Thank god ears are not so easy to tether.
Weirdly, I enjoyed a lot the last couple of months with less sunlight, music gets a different flavour when observed in the dimmed light. Time seems to glide slower when it’s darker and so do winter days confluenced nicely with more obscure soundscapes. There is a lot of ravishing Jonny Greenwood, breathy @meredithmonk, impish John Cage, elusive Kajia Saarahjo, bizarre @jerskinfendrix, bustling @soundwalkcollective, experimental Sam Gendel, reticent Kali Malone @hotscorpions and pleasantly intricate @porticoquartet.
And on top of that a bit of relentlessly worshipped Schönberg, Bach and @thesmiletheband.
Everything has a meaning there and nothing really matters simultaneously.
