Really appreciated BBC Breakfast inviting me up to Manchester to talk about the film Making Sense of Cancer, and the massive, phenomenal response it’s had from the people up and down the country whose lives have been profoundly altered by the disease.
I’m so grateful to all of you who have sent me your stories, I have hundreds of emails in my inbox from people who say the film managed to capture something that they too had experienced, but hadn’t quite been able to explain to others.
It’s still up on iPlayer for the next month or so. It’s not an easy watch at times, but it’s surprisingly full of hope. Above all, it’s about working out what matters most to you, and empowering people to ask the right questions when it comes to their own care.
