Actor Harriet Dyer stars on our latest digital cover, talking marriage, motherhood and making comedy magic.
Dyer’s relationship with co-star and writer Patrick Brammall was the springboard for the Colin script and its subsequent success. The couple, who met while working on the Stan series No Activity in 2015 and married five days after Brammall proposed in 2021, not only write and act together but their real-life age gap (she’s 35, he’s 48) is also replicated and mined for laughs onscreen. And while comedy and careers are important, their marriage always comes first. “We want to make good television but we are learning to put up some boundaries because in the middle of this is our love… we can’t keep shopping that out for the sake of a good TV show.”
