I’m ok with being misunderstood. For so long, I would constantly feel the need to explain myself and defend who I am and what I do. But now that I’m getting older, I’m realizing that no matter what I say or do, people will always have their own opinions and judgments of me. People can only view others in the lens of their own personal experiences. Once I’ve come to terms with what I actually have control over, my focus now is to continue to protect myself and my boundaries, which can be very difficult for me since I’m a recovering people pleaser.
So if you’re feeling misunderstood, just know that being yourself, living your truth, and protecting your peace are more important than what others say or think about you. 💜
