Ioanna Gika Instagram – The first concert I ever attended was Yanni. But the first non new-age performance I ever attended was at The 9:30 Club. It was a punk show, I was 13 and wore black velvet. At school the next day, wearing the same outfit, the cigarette smoke that lingered on the fabric would occasionally waft up, reminding me of that evening. In a bleak moment, a scent can keep you company. Happy to be returning there tonight to perform.
