Here were are in the studio today! Working with two marvelous dancers – The exquisite Christine Shevchenko who plays Tatiana and the very talented and charismatic Joseph Markey who plays her husband Gremin.
Today we worked on 2 major things:
⭐️We worked on perfecting the technique and made sure that the partnering is effortless for both characters.
⭐️We also worked on the emotional balance as well as the small details.
This is a very special ballet for me as it was the last ballet I performed with American Ballet Theatre. I was lucky enough to perform Tatiana over the years and with each performance, I was a different Tatiana as this role has enormous room for interpretation. Every ballerina can bring her own unique qualities into it. Make sure you don’t miss these two during the upcoming ABT Summer Season which starts June 18th! 🖋️🖤🩰@christineshevchenko @josephemarkey @yagp @abtofficial @blochdanceusa @bloch_eu #Onegin #EugeneOnegin #BlochBallerina #bloch #principal #privatecoaching #ballet #ballerina #YAGP #ABT #americanballettheatre | Posted on 04/Jun/2024 08:46:00
