Each episode is a world, and I loved every second of seeing this series unfold – from reading the scripts, to initial music concept conversations with Liz and Carly, to seeing the first cuts, sketching ideas, and right through to putting the final touches on the scores for each episode.

When I read Liz and Carly’s scripts I was instantly enthralled. The surrealist lens of the stories gives access to the rich, complex and joyful range of female identity. It’s not often you get to score that landscape in one series. I loved being able to embrace the scope of the protagonists in my music. I found there was a catharsis in scoring Roar. Liz and Carly are phenomenal creators and story tellers – it was an honour to work with them.
