Julie Stewart-Binks Instagram – Many of you here know that I’ve been raising money for @journey2conquer benefiting The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation for over 5 years now. It’s a cause close to my heart. I have a family member who was diagnosed with smouldering myeloma (precursor to Multiple Myeloma, cancer that forms in white blood cells), over eight years ago. Thanks to @thepmcf they were able to receive life-saving immunotherapy treatment, which prolonged the onset of the cancer by four years. Four years! Can you imagine?! We are so lucky. Even when smouldering myeloma turned to multiple myeloma, @thepmcf provided incredible treatment and patient care- whereby my family member received two stem cell transplants and has been living in remission.
This is all because of donations and support to fundraisers like the @journey2conquer – an event I’ve had the privilege of hosting for many years now. I’ve seen first hand what money raised can do to help my family, and have met countless people who have also benefitted from this life-saving cause.
