Katja Herbers Instagram – Today the Climate Clock ticked down to 5 years for the first time. This is the amount of time we still have to curb carbon emissions to stay under 1.5 degrees of warming. There were actions all around the world to mark this moment, including my friends at @extinctionrebellionnl who waded through water to our government building holding up the clock (slide #3)! We are running out of time but it’s not too late. Let’s look at this time as a hopeful one in which we need to mobilize as many people as we can to hit the streets and demand change from our fossil-fuel-money infused governments. Science has the solutions, they need to be implemented.
